Active Directory Connector

Enables communication between Active Directory and the Exchange 5.5 directory service.
It is not applicable to Exchange 2k or 2k3 directory communication.

• You must upgrade any prior ADC's to Exchange server 2k3 ADC
• ADC can be installed on any computer in the domain
• Must be able to contact a Global Catalog server
• Must be installed in the domain where the Exchange 5.5 system is located

ADC vs. Migration Wizard

You cannot migrate within an organization using Migration Wizard only to a separate organization.

 

Coexistence with Lotus Notes

Steps to Lotus Notes Coexistence

A special Notes user ID that will be used with the connector must be configured on the Notes/Domino server

Lotus Notes client software must be installed on the Exchange server

Start the MS Exchange Connectivity Controller service

Start the MS Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes service

Coexistence with Novell GroupWise

Steps to Novell GroupWise Coexistence

Configure a NetWare user with RW permissions who is also a member of the GroupWise NT Gateway Group

Install the Novell GroupWise connector on the bridgehead Exchange server

Start the MS Exchange Connectivity Controller service

Start the MS Exchange Router for Novell GroupWise service
